PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle history information management system capable of preventing the alteration or the like of information by ciphering and transmitting history information concerned with various kinds of operation history of a vehicle and a history information storage device and a history information management device to be used for the system.;SOLUTION: A drive recorder 1 requests and receives request information for requesting a ciphering key to be used for ciphering and the ID information of the recorder itself from a data analyzer 5. The recorder 1 ciphers history information by using the received ciphering key, stores the ciphered information in a history information storage area 16a, and when an accident detection signal is inputted, transmits the ciphered history information and ID information to the data analyzer 5 via an out-of-vehicle communication line N2. The data analyzer 5 identifies the history information on the basis of the ID information, acquires a deciphering key and deciphers the history information by using the deciphering key.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
