PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase interest by realizing rather than a waiting image which is viewered merely for enjoyment but a waiting image, in which active elements are introduced.;SOLUTION: The waiting dynamic picture image control program is used for a portable telephone, having a display part which displays an animation typed dynamic picture image to a waiting image, and can display a dynamic image corresponding to a telephone number of a portable telephone or input operation of input switches of various kinds of functions. As a result, dynamic picture images which are changed by applying operation input properly to a waiting image by a user of the portable telephone can be displayed, and a function as a tool which can be used for a slight play such as killing time can be imparted to a portable telephone which is used by portage, in addition to a function as a telephone. A control method of a server and the server are also provided where download is enabled, after confirming a kind of dynamic image before download of a waiting dynamic image.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
