PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening method by which a nuclear receptor (NR) activity-modifying factor can be identified, and to provide a method for treating and/or preventing a disease or its condition related to a cell type expressing the nuclear receptor. SOLUTION: This screening method enables the identification of a compound which induces or inhibits the supplementation of a p160 family cofactor, especially TIF-2 and/or SRCs cofactors. The compound is useful for adjusting the biological activity of PPAR-gamma or for treating and/or preventing various PPAR-gammas related to diseases and their conditions, including metabolic diseases or cell-breeding diseases.
