PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noninvasive hemoglobin density and oxygen saturation degree monitoring method and a device therefor. ;SOLUTION: The method is characterized in that it is provided with a stage 10 of selecting at least two wavelengths including at least two isobestic wavelength from the wavelengths belonging to a wavelength band where the extinction coefficient of water is lower than the extinction coefficient of hemoglobin, a stage 12 of successively irradiating prescribed parts including the blood vessel of the body with incident light having the selected wavelength, the stages 14 and 16 of receiving the light successively transmitted through the prescribed parts at a single spot on the body and converting the received light to electric signals, a stage 18 of obtaining a light attenuance change amount by arterial waves for the respective wavelengths from the electric signals, a stage 20 of obtaining at least one of rates between the change amounts and a stage 22 of calculating the hemoglobin concentration contained in blood by using at least one rate.
