PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage by heat of a residue discharge port of a waste gasification melting furnace.;SOLUTION: The gasification melting furnace melts a residue by pyrolizing and gasifying waste. A residue discharge port structure of the waste gasification melting furnace has a residue discharge hole 2a of melt in a tip part of the residue discharge port 1 for discharging the melt outside from the gasification melting furnace, and is provided with a residue discharge port water-cooled device 2 of a metallic water-cooled structure attachable to and detachable from the residue discharge port 1. The residue discharge port cooling method of the waste gasification melting furnace keeps a temperature at a prescribed temperature or more by adjusting a cooling water quantity supplied to a residue discharge port water-cooled device 2 when the temperature becomes less than the prescribed temperature by measuring the temperature of the residue discharge hole of the residue discharge port water-cooled device 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
