ASEISMIC WOODEN BUILDING AND ASEISMIC REINFORCEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve aseismic performance of a wooden building at a low cost.;SOLUTION: When four corner angles of the wooden building are reinforced exclusively, the aseismic performance of the building can be improved as a whole. In the four corners of the wooden building, when aseismic elements having structural plywood arranged on both sides is installed to a frame material for a two-by-four construction method and the like, final yield strength of the building can be improved greatly, and the building can resist application of a horizontal shock due to a great earthquake. Since the aseismic performance can be improved only by the aseismic elements arranged in the four corners alone or arranged only to the middle of the eaves height, material costs can be lowered and low-cost construction can be realized. Since the aseismic elements are added to the four corners, designing processing can be facilitated, and the aseismic element may be used as an accent of the building appearance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
