PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal jacket production cost of which can be moderate and which is mounted on an SMD type piezoelectric vibrator.;SOLUTION: In the metal jacket to be mounted outside the cylindrical piezoelectric vibrator to become the SMD type piezoelectric vibrator, this metal jacket has an upper planar part in the central part of a lengthwise direction, a pair of projecting sidewall parts extended downward from both the terminals of this upper planar part in a crosswise direction, and a lower fixed part extending inside from both the terminal parts in the lengthwise direction in the lower parts of these sidewall part. The terminal part of the upper planar part in the lengthwise direction is positioned between the terminal part of the lower fixed part closer to the center in the lengthwise direction and the central part in the lengthwise direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
