PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure an authentication system with high authenticating precision by using an authentication module having prescribed FAR (Fault Acceptance Ratio) and FRR (Fault Rejection Ratio) values. PSOLUTION: A plurality of (m) pieces of biometrics (fingerprints) are registered and managed. In authenticating them, collation processing is performed by using those (m) pieces of biometrics, and the collation processing is performed a plurality of (n) times for each biometrics. Then, the authentication result as a whole system is judged and outputted on the basis of those (m) pieces of biometrics and the (n) times of collation result. As for a judgement condition, even when only one collation among the (n) times of collation is successful in trying (n) times of collation, it is judged that the collation is successful with respect to the biometrics. When the collation of all the (m) pieces of biometrics is successful in collating those (m) pieces, it is judged that the authentication is successful (accepted) as a whole system.
