PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method of an analytical sample and a quantitative analysis method of elements using the analytical sample capable of performing qualitative analysis or quantitative analysis of elements of Al, Si, K and B included in an ion-exchange resin, which are difficult analyze qualitatively and quantitatively in the analytical sample prepared by an ashing method from the ion-exchange resin, and providing the analytical sample having higher measurement accuracy than the analytical sample prepared by the ashing method when performing the quantitative analysis.;SOLUTION: In this preparation method, a solution containing a mineral acid is added to the ion-exchange resin, and the acquired first mixed liquid is irradiated with a microwave, to thereby decompose the ion-exchange resin and to prepare the analytical sample. In this quantitative analysis method of the elements, inductivity coupled plasma emission spectrometry using the prepared analytical sample is used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
