PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a separation membrane wherein the diameter of the molecule or microparticle to be separated can be very precisely designed by merely designing the particle diameter of microbodies, to provide a separation membrane having uniform pore diameters, having three-dimensionally formed continuous pores, having a high separation performance depending on the size or shape of the substance to be separated, capable of being irreversibly or reversibly changed in the diameter or shape of pores, and excellent is the property of being general-purpose, and to provide a separation membrane forming material that can precisely, easily, and inexpensively form a separation membrane having uniform pore diameters and pore shapes and having continuous pores.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the separation membrane 6 comprises the structure formation step of forming a structure 4 having continuous voids in its inside by filling microbodies 3 on the surface of a support 2; the polymer filling step of filling a polymer 5 into the voids of the structure 4 obtained in the structure formation step; and the separation step of separating the microbodies 3 from the support 2 after the polymer filling step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
