PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reverse osmosis equipment with a function to automatically clean reverse osmosis membranes with which the performance of the reveres osmosis membranes is maintained for a long period of time by an excellent cleaning effect to the reveres osmosis membranes by pure water and a method of making the pure water using this equipment.;SOLUTION: This reverse osmosis equipment with the function to automatically clean the reverse osmosis membranes comprises the reverse osmosis equipment C for treating raw water, a recirculation loop line 8 connected to a raw water load line 6, a tank for storing the pure water made in the reverse osmosis equipment C, a pure water reflux line 11 for circulating part of the pure water to the raw water load line 6, a pure water line for supplying the pure water to a water feed tank and a pure water supply line 15 for delivering the pure water to a use point and is capable of cleaning the reverse osmosis membranes of the reverse osmosis equipment C by the pure water. The reverse osmosis equipment with the automatic cleaning function described above is provided with a bypass line 14 between the pure water supply line 15 and the pure water reflux line 10 and is capable of feeding at least part of the pure water to the pure water supply line 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
