PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device capable of sending out a heavy object without fail and a handling method for sending out the heavy object using only the carrying device on which heavy objects are received and placed without arranging a device for correcting and guiding the sending direction of the heavy object additionally.;SOLUTION: The carrying device comprises rails A, which are laid in parallel with each other, and a carrier B, which is self-propelled on the rails. The carrier B comprises a frame 3 having length enough to stride the parallel rails, a drive mechanism 4, which is provided with wheels running on the top faces of the rails installed below the frame tailored to the width of the rails A, and at least two or more carrier blocks b having a pair of right and left heavy object support plates 5, which are arranged tailored nearly to the width of the rails A on the upper face of the frame 3 and can be raised and lowered, coupled in the direction of the rail.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
