PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet-printing pigmented ink which has a good graininess, glossiness, and color reproducibility (transparency in image) and gives a high setting density and also is excellent in jetting stability and in ink storage stability, and to provide an ink jet-printing ink cartridge, a method for ink-jet recording an image and an ink-jet recording image.;SOLUTION: The ink jet-printing pigmented ink, in which the pigment particles are dispersed in an aqueous medium, is characterized in that the above pigment particles are of a pigment having the surface covered with a polymer compound and the above pigment particles have in the aqueous medium an average zeta potential of -38 to -150 mV and also the particle diameter difference is less than 150 nm between the particle diameter corresponding to 0.9 (90% by mass) of the whole mass of secondary pigment particles and the particle diameter corresponding to 0.1 (10% by mass) of the whole mass of the secondary pigment particles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
