PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic mold for multi-gate casting which is securely replenished with a molten material since the material is not easily solidified on the peripheries of pouring gates, which has few casting defects such as misrun, shrinkage cavity, etc., since the filling property of the molten material into a thin thickness part is excellent, and by which casting products excellent in mechanical strength can be obtained, and to provide a casting method using the metallic mold. ;SOLUTION: The metallic mold for multi-gate casting in which the peripheries of the pouring gates and a runner or an ingate are composed of split inserts is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
