PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground vibrations prevention effect calculation method and an apparatus which can clarify the anti-vibration mechanism of vibration shut-off works, specify the factors affecting the prevention effects and quantitatively calculates them using these factors as input parameters.;SOLUTION: In the ground vibration prevention effect calculation method, an advance vibration survey is done, and based on the result of which, a frequency analysis and a ground survey are done, and based on the result of which, a ground structural analysis is done, followed by surface wave calculations, vertical and horizontal diffraction wave calculations and vibration prevention effect calculations, and then whether the prevention effects are as expected is checked. If the effects are not as expected, the method revises the specifications for the vibration shut-off works.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
