PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing fine particle barium titanate powder high in tetragonal ratio and less in compositional fluctuation even by using an inexpensively practicable solid reaction method.;SOLUTION: In the mixing of barium carbonate powder with titanium oxide powder, barium carbonate powder having ≥20 m2/g specific surface area is used as the barium carbonated to be mixed and titanium oxide powder having the ratio of the specific surface area of the titanium oxide powder to the specific surface area of the barium carbonated powder of ≥1 is used as the titanium oxide powder to be mixed.
