PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new phthalocyanine compound, an ink for ink-jet capable of forming a picture having a superior hue, light resistance and ozone-gas resistance, and an ink-jet recording method, including various kinds of coloring composition such as an ink sheet, a color toner for electrophotography, a color filter, etc., in heat sensitive recording materials having a superior hue and fastness and a method for strengthening a picture oxidation resistance. SOLUTION: For the phthalocyanine compound, at least one among each group of 2 and 3, 6 and 7, 10 and 11 and 14 and 15 sites is substituted with -SO2 NH-Z (Z shows a heterocyclic group), and at least one of 1 to 16 sites has a group having carbons of 2 or more, furthermore the total number of carbons is 8 or more. The compound yields the compositions of ink for ink-jet, an ink sheet, a color toner and a color filter.
