PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide box-shaped strong earth retaining fences capable of dynamically retaining earth even on a steep slope, of permitting to plant small and medium-sized trees even on sloped land and of strongly resisting against damage from snow.;SOLUTION: Members of cylindrical columnar lumber or rectangular lumber are built up to a shape of parallel crosses of log houses; each parallel crosses has a box shape for housing sediment; the sides of box-shaped small log houses as fences are connected together on diagonal lines and piled up to a stair shape; at that time, the rear surface of a box at the first stage is connected to the front surface of the second stage and the same manner is repeated when a plurality of the stages are bui the surface of second stage is connected to the third stage and the third stage is connected to the surface of the fourth stage thereby making the whole structure stronger. These box-shaped earth retaining fences are like a structure having small terraced fields built on sloped land, and plating is possible on the horizontal surface of each box.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
