SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a slow-release potassium fertilizer includes a step 101 for adding a potassium raw material to a raw material melt containing one or several kinds of components selected from the group consisting of CaO, MgO, Al2 O3 , FeO, Fe2 O3 , and MnO and Si2 O and fusing the raw material melt and the potassium raw material by gas blowing from a mixing lance at the 500 mm or more depth from the bath surface, a step 102 for cooling and solidifying the produced melt, and a step 103 for controlling the grain size of the solidified solid material.
