METHOD OF RECOVERING LDG AND SENSIBLE HEAT IN CONVERTER OPERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance general recovering efficiency in a converter operation by considering recovery of both LDG (a converter gas) and sensible heat. SOLUTION: This recovering method comprises monitoring pressure conditions in an LDG holder and a steam accumulator as well as monitoring a blowing condition; when recovery of LDG seems to be more advantageous, lowering a skirt of a furnace opening or raising the pressure inside the furnace, or taking both measures to lower a combustion rate at the furnace opening; and when recovery for sensible heat seems to be more advantageous, raising the skirt or lowering the pressure inside the furnace, or taking both measures to raise the combustion rate at the furnace opening. Then, the method enables the operation without emission of steam while keeping a high LDG concentration.
