PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a farm products inspecting apparatus for preventing strong light from entering the eyes of a worker, who is inspecting farm products.;SOLUTION: The farm products-inspecting apparatus 10 comprises a horse slip for retaining farm products 12, a near-infrared irradiation means 18 for applying near-infrared rays to the farm products 12, a near-infrared camera 20 that receives near-infrared rays which are reflected from the farm products 12 and a bucket 14, and forms the images of the farm products 12 and the bucket 14 based on the near-infrared rays, and a CPU 26 that obtains the dimensions of the farm products 12, by discriminating an image formed by the near-infrared camera 20 with the image of the bucket 14, based on a preset threshold for discriminating the image of the farm products 12 from the image of the bucket 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
