PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoreceptor drum which is increased in its moment of inertia and eliminates the unevenness of rotation by its flywheel effect, a method of recycling the reusable photoreceptor drum while assuring a uniformly high image and the recycled photoreceptor drum, etc. ;SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor drum has an organic photosensitive layer 4 on a cylindrical conductive substrate 1 of 2.5 mm (more preferably 7 mm) in thickness and therefore the moment of inertia of the photoreceptor drum is increased and the influence of the vibration of a drive motor, etc., is suppressed by the flywheel effect and the unevenness of rotation being the cause for color unevenness is eliminated. This drum is used in a digital laser printer/copying machine, etc., having resolution of 1200 dpi. The organic photosensitive layer 4 is removed after the end of the life and the organic photosensitive layer is again formed on the machined cylindrical conductive substrate 1, by which the photoreceptor drum is recycled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
