PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide efficient coupon service by utilizing a portable telephone set. ;SOLUTION: In this coupon service providing method, a host device manages advertisement data, the placement plan related information of each advertisement, advertiser attribute information and terminal attribute information, and distributes the advertisement data to public advertisement terminals, selected on the basis of the placement plan related information. A public advertisement terminal transmits to the host device a telephone set ID acquired with a telephone set connection interface and related information of the advertisement data, and the host device records the transmitted telephone set ID and the advertisement attribute information, corresponding to the advertisement attribute information while making them to be a set. A store computer, installed in an advertise store, transmits to the host device the telephone number ID of a portable telephone set of a person visiting the store, the host device returns to the store computer to the effect that a set of the telephone set ID and the store of a transmission source has been recorded, if the set of the ID and the store is recorded, and the store computer receiving the effect displays information showing that the person is a user of this service.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
