A system and method for displaying text of a musical work in multiple languages as the work is performed or played, which include the steps of: ;a.) providing a file including segments of the text in at least two languages; ;b.) providing information representative of when each of the segments of the text is to be sung in the work, respectively; ;c.) providing a display device for displaying the segments of the text in the at least two languages; and then ;d.) displaying the segments of the text in a sequential order responsive to the information when sung in the work.
