The invention relates to a method of erecting a tower made of finished parts of compressed concrete, and a device for the advantageous execution of the method. To at least reduce the problems encountered in the state of the art when erecting a tower, a funnel-shaped device (8) is provided for conducting a tensioning cable whose smaller cross-section (11) is substantially the same as that. In addition, a seal (20) is provided for providing a pressure-proof transition between two segments 4, 6 disposed on one another, with the height of the seal (20) substantially corresponds to the expected distance between the segments.
