"METHODS FOR MODIFYING BEHAVIOR-RELATED BEHAVIOR BEHAVIOR ADDING TO PCP, AND IMPROVING THE EFFECTS OF PCP ADDICTION". The present invention provides a method for modifying the addiction-related behavior of a mammal suffering from hallucinogenic drug addiction, preferably phenylcyclidine (PCP). The method includes administering to the mammal an effective amount of gamma-vinylGABA (GVG) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or an enantiomer thereof or a racemic mixture thereof, the effective amount being sufficient to decrease, inhibit or eliminate behavior associated with uncontrollable desire or use of PCP.
