The installation (1) is for cleaning a seabird contaminated with oil products and comprises a housing (2) in which the bird is placed. Inside the housing are devices (8,9) for spraying cleaning fluid and for blowing a gas. The blowing devices comprise a number of conduits (10) to which blowing mouthpieces are fitted. The mouthpieces are movable and the outwardly blown gas forms a surface. The gas blowing devices also form those for spraying cleaning fluid. A frame (12) is incorporated in the housing and has a component for holding the neck of a bird. It also has components for firmly holding the wings of a bird in the outwardly spread condition.
