The housing (1) for protecting two-wheeled vehicles against theft, vandalism and untoward weather conditions has a fixed rigid cover (2) with a U-shaped cross-section and side walls (4) forming the legs of the U-shape and a movable rigid cover (3) with a U-shaped cross-section and side walls (5) forming the legs of the U-shape. The movable cover is rotatable around a first axis in relation to the fixed cover between open and closed conditions. The first rotation axis is firmly located near the ground and extends vertically up the side walls. The housing has a floor construction (7a), with a base plate on which the vehicle is placed. The floor construction can be positioned loosely on the ground and is connected with the covers. The covers extend in the closed state to the floor construction.
