The boiler (8) runs continuously under the control of a central control unit (2). The control unit receives two signals from each dwelling: a demand signal, e.g. on/off or required temperature, from an operating panel (1) and a signal (5) from a temperature sensor (5). One of the advantages is that when a user calls for heat, the hot water or air is available immediately, with no waiting for the boiler to heat up.
