The grid floor installation (1) for a sty for a sow comprises adjacent first and second grids (2,3); at least one coupling bar connected with drive devices connected in turn with the first grid, the coupling bar engaging on the second grid. The drive devices axially rotate the coupling bar so that the reciprocal orientation of the first and second grids is adjustable. The first and second grids are displaceable in relation to one another between a first state in which the first grid tightly connects on at least one side of the second grid and a second state in which the first grid is located at a distance from the second grid. The drive devices consist of at least one pressure cylinder and the first grid has an operating component of a pressure valve (8). This valve is pneumatically connected with the pressure cylinder.
