Data input method for electronic desktop, provides visual illustration determined by position and type of input device used

Visual illustration of the interaction between the input device(s) and the data array representing a multi-dimensional virtual or physical object is determined by the type of input device used and the position of this device relative to the reference representing the data array. The reference representing the data array is depicted on a two-dimensional surface in a physical work space. A user can move the input device in or above the surface. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Kit for carrying out this method; and (2) Data processing program for carrying out this method.
