The spout (1), designed to be fitted to the neck (G) of a bottle of e.g. sparkling wine to allow it to be tasted or drunk directly from the bottle, comprises a hollow body with one end shaped to fit onto the bottle neck and equipped with an inlet (10), and a flared and rounded side wall (2). The spout has an upper edge angled at 60 deg to its axis, and a cover (3) leaving two apertures (11, 12) to allow air in and liquid out. The aperture (11) which is uppermost when the spout is in use also allows bubbles to flow out and break on the outer surface of the cover.
