The mechanism comprises a top frame (18) coupled to the tractor and also coupled to the agricultural implement frame (31) via connecting pieces (19, 20). The bottom end of the top frame is provided with a support axle (22) coupled to the tractor and agricultural implement frame, so that the latter frame can be pivoted about a vertical axis relative to the axle. The plane of the agricultural implement frame is parallel or at an essentially constant angle to the plane of the surface when the frame pivots in relation to the support axle.
