Inhibition of complement activation using anti-properdin agents

Anti-properdin agents that selectively inhibit the formation of alternative complement pathway activation products and preferably also do not activate Fcg receptors, and their use to treat conditions associated with complement pathway activation. Further included is a method of screening for and selecting such anti-properdin agents.
