An aqueous suspension concentrate ionophore antibiotic composition for use in animal drinking water comprises: at least one ionophore antibiotic of a mean particle size of less than 20 microns; at least one dispersing agent selected from compatible polyglycoside, compatible lignosulphate and compatible and suitable glycol and a gum suspension agent. The composition is capable of dilution with water to a stable and dispersed dilute composition and the dilute form in water remains homogenous for at least 24 days. The suspension agent can be xanthan, guar, acacia or cellulose gum.
