A backpack having upper and lower compartments accessible via one zipped opening, said zipped opening extending across the front of the backpack so as to form the upper edge of the second compartment and the lower edge of the first compartment, and said zipped opening also extending almost the remaining three sides of the front surface of the first compartment, such that by fully opening the said zipped opening, full access is given to the interior of both first and second compartments.
