A modular fusion cage, comprising: a ramp member adapted to be positioned between adjacent vertebral bodies, the ramp member having superior and inferior bone contacting surfaces, and anterior and posterior sides; and a ring member having a central opening extending in a superior-inferior plane that is defined by an annular wall that is interrupted by a wall opening that is adapted to slidably receive the ramp member and that communicates with the central opening, the annular wall further having superior and inferior bone contacting surfaces, and anterior and posterior sides.
