The invention relates to a portable multipurpose hydraulic device employed as cutting tool, spacing device or as a device for removing damaged construction elements or crashed vehicles bodies. The hydraulic device comprises a distribution head (1), connected to a pressurized fluid source which accommodates a hydraulic distributor (2) and a double retaining valve (3). A power cylinder (4) screwed on the head (1) also takes over the pressurized fluid which moves a threaded rod (5) to drive a shear-type cutting mechanism (6), secured on a shoulder (6) of the power cylinder (4) by means of some clamps (8) and screws (7). A spacing mechanism (10) with jaws may be mounted in the place of the cutting mechanism (6). By replacing the power cylinder (4) with a spacing cylinder (11) also secured by screwing, said cylinder being driven directly by the pressurized fluid, there is obtained a means for removing heavier elements on longer distances.
