The invention relates to a process for carrying out lime piles for reinforcing the highly deformable compressible soft soils by filling with lime and simultaneously compacting the same with a worm bit (2)in a previously drilled hole (1), in a dry rotary system with total or partial removal of the ground dug under the action of the compressed air introduced into the borehole, the borehole being carried out with a diameter of 200 mm and a penetration velocity correlated with the ground strength, the ground being dilocated entirely, followed by filling the drilled bore with a dry lime mixture containing 12...15% anhydrous lime, 20% cement, 65...68% sand, said mixture being compacted by rotating the worm reversely to the drilling direction, there beig formed a pile (8) of a diameter ranging from 280 to 400 mm, depending on the ground compressibility, said pile (8) having a bearing capacity of 6...8 t.
