The invention relates to a process for controlled reproduction of fresh-water crayfish, carried out in fish nurseries and consisting of the selection of the individuals for reproduction, the mating and the laying of eggs on pleopods, the preventive treatment for parasitic control, the incubation, the eclosing and the exuviation of the young crayfish taking place under normal biological conditions. The mating of the crayfish begins in October, when the water temperature is of 10 degree C, the ovigerous females being passed through a 1/1000 solution of formalin for 15...20 minutes, in order to prevent the parasite attack. The incubation takes place in the interval March-April, at a water temperature of 9.5 degree C, while the eclosion takes place at the end of May or at the beginning of June, when the water temperature exceeds 20 degree C, according to a time grading, in the course of 2...5 days.
