Devicet for cooling water has nozzles of cooling water; those are installed in a circle on the stator near the periphery of working blades. Nozzles are installed in such a way that the angle ( between the axis of the nozzle and the plane of rotation of working blades in projection to the plane parallel to the axis of the turbine and going through tangent line to the circle of centers of the opening of nozzles in the site of the nozzle installation, being measured in direction of rotation, and the angle EMBED Equation.3 between the axis of the nozzle and the plane parallel to the axis of the turbine and going through tangent line to the circle of centers of the opening of nozzles in the site of installation, in projection to the plane of the working blades rotation, are determined from the relation: EMBED Equation.3 і , where EMBED Equation.3 - root diameter of working wheel; EMBED Equation.3 - diameter of the circle of the centers of the openings of the nozzles; EMBED Equation.3 - angle of the nozzle spray jet. At idle work of the turbine, or at small loads, cooling water is sprayed through the nozzles. Due to tangent-axial installation of the nozzles at those angles EMBED Equation.3 and EMBED Equation.3 a circular zone of cooled moisture is formed, as a mutual intersection of jets, this effectively cools the exhaust branch pipe and excludes falling of water to the working blades of the turbine at the root area.
