An assembly for killing microorganisms, especially legionella bacteria, in warm tap water, includes a conduit (4) for supply of cold water. The assembly is designed so that the water from the third heat exchanger (3) is spread into two streams, of which the first stream (8) is led through the second heat exchanger (2) for cooling and is mixed with the second (10) of the two streams in order to maintain the correct temperature for the warm tap water.
