Running the software brings up a number of menus offering the user access to electronic services (5n, 51-56) via the user interface (11-14) in the mobile unit (10). Data inputted via the user interface is combined into a restricted number of data streams for sending over a restricted number of common data channels (22) via at least one data network (20, 30) to at least one server (41). A restricted number of common data streams are received from the server via the common data channels and data network, the data streams being divided into data for the different service menus for output via the user interface.
