Composition (I), comprising an aqueous solution containing specific amounts of taurine, glucuronolactone, caffeine, sucrose, glucose, inositol, niacin, vitamin B6, panthenol, vitamin B2 and vitamin B12, is used for reducing body fat or its formation. Use of a composition (I) is claimed for the non-therapeutic reduction of body fat, reduction of deposition of body fat, or for the production of a medicament for the therapeutic reduction of body fat or reduction of deposition of body fat where (I) comprises an aqueous solution containing (per 250 ml) 200-2000 (preferably 50-1000) mg taurine, 100-1200 (preferably 300-600) mg glucuronolactone, 20-160 (preferably 40-80) mg caffeine, 5-30 (preferably 10-22) g sucrose, 1-10 (preferably 2.5-5.5) g glucose, 15-100 (preferably 25-50) mg inositol, 10-20 mg niacin, 2.5-5 mg vitamin B6, 2.5-5 mg panthenol, 0.75-1.5 mg vitamin B2 and 0.00025-0.005 mg vitamin B12.
