Procedure address decomposition of a BAYER circuit including a preliminary agglomeration phase (A), a priming stage (N) and a qualifying (PT; ST; TT) in which the particle size quality of the hydrate produced is followed by a measurement (M2) of sifting X2 micram hydrate in bearing tanks priming, comprising: a) a step of preparation carried out once and for all, a portion for establishing a relation R in intensity and in time between the sifting X1 micram and sifting X2 micram in hydrate bearing where X1 is strictly less than X2, and secondly to define, from the range of maximum permitted variation on X2 values sifting micram, initiators thresholds on the value of X1 micram sifting; b) the actual process direction, made during the time of operation of the plant, comprising, in addition to the daily measurement (M2) of sifting X2 micram and regular updating of the correlation between the above Hovering X2 micram and the particle size distribution of the hydrate produced, a daily measurement (M1) of sifting X1 micram hydrate in bearing and regular updating of the ratio R between the said sifting X1 micram and the said sifting X2 micram , and the initiation of corrective action on suspension at the beginning of decomposition when the measured value X1 micram sifting reaches one of the initiators thresholds that have been set during the preliminary stage and have been updated regularly.
