The hazardous toxic organic waste stabilizing and inertising technique comprises employing large-specific-surface clay as an additive for the waste in a tank (2) and inertised in a mixer (6). The product is then briquetted. If the waste is rich in volatiles, curing in a closed chamber must be applied, with air driving the volatiles through a column (13) packed with active carbon (14).
