Distribution and management system for mobile telephony short messages and communication protocol for implementing said system.This invention relates to a system that works as an interface/gateway between the client units and the mobile telephony network, designed for the short message transmission and reception service. This platform, which centralises access, allows offering and ensuring the service quality of text messages, optimising the planning of the available resources and offering redundancy and high availability. The invention provides client units with application development based on the transmission and reception of short messages, offering them centralised access to the messaging infrastructure of the GSM network (Short Message Centres, signalling network, message management tools, etc.).The invention facilitates the development of application to clients using the protocol called PSMC (Simple Short Message Protocol).
