A process for obtaining a substantially pure complex derived from flax, complex containing diglucoside secoisolariciresinol, glycosides of cinnamic acid and hidroximetilglutárico acid, which comprises obtaining an aqueous alcoholic extract aliphatic flaxseed or flaxseed meal and subjecting this aqueous extract to ultrafiltration by which species of low molecular weight remain in the filtrate and retained species higher molecular weight comprising the separated complex.
