AN IMPROVED PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR OXIDATION OF SUPERCRITICAL WATER FROM ORGANIC RESIDUAL MATERIALS THAT AVOID OR AT LEAST SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCE CORROSION PROBLEMS AND DEPOSITION OF SOLIDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREVIOUS TECHNIQUES. PURSUANT TO THIS INVENTION, SUPERCRITICALLY WATER SUPPLIED EXTERNALLY IS PROVIDED TO A PLATE TUBE REACTOR BOTH TO PROTECTIVELY COVER THEIR INNER SURFACE AS TO HEAT THE RESIDUAL FLOW IN OXIDATION REACTION CONDITIONS. HIGHER REACTION TEMPERATURES CAN BE USED COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS PROCESSES, WHICH IMPROVES SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVEMENTS OF REACTION LEVELS AND ALLOWS THE USE OF SMALLER REACTORS. THE WATER PROTECTIVE FILM ON THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF THE REACTOR, COUPLED WITH THE ELIMINATION OF THE PRE-HEATING OF THE RESIDUAL MATERIAL, SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCES CORROSION AND DEPOSITION OF SOLIDS.
