DRAWING APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF DRAWN PLASTIC FILAMENTS

A drawing device and process for the manufacture of drawn plastic filaments(2, 3) isdisclosed which includes a spinning device (1) and a pneumatic pull-off device(10), wherebybetween the spinning device (1) and the pull-off device (10) a heating device(5) is positioned forheating the filaments (2, 3) to a temperature between their glass transitionand their meltingtemperature. The device of the invention has a more compact construction andis suited for themanufacture of drawn plastic filaments with a titer above 1 dtex. Filaments ofhigher strength andreduced stretch are achieved.
